The Week of August 4th

 The Learning Community Newsletter

Families,

We had a wonderful first two days of school! Students have been making new friends, working with Montessori materials, learning new procedures, and completing practical life jobs.

Severe Weather Closure

We will have early dismissal at 12:15 tomorrow, August 4. School will be closed Tuesday, August 6th and Wednesday, August 7th. There will be no required remote learning during this time.

The First Great Lesson

Children will receive Montessori's First Great Lesson this week! The First Great Lesson is usually shared close to the first day of each school year in elementary. It's designed to give students a sense of their place in the Universe by learning about the stars, the Sun, the planets, how Earth was formed, states of matter, particle behavior, and much more.
