The Sisters of the New South Spirit Night raised quite a bit of money for our PTA! They generously gave 40% of sales, rather than the 20% of sales promised! The next Spirit Night dates and locations will be announced as soon as the details are worked out.

The Week of October 30th

Reading Logs
If students did not return reading logs on Friday, they should be turned in by Wednesday at the latest. We will be sending home reading logs for the month of November on Monday. Please make sure that your child is filling out the reading log nightly.

Conferences
If you have not met with us to receive important information about your child's education, academics, and behavior, please respond to our emails so we can find a time to meet that fits your family's schedule.

Students enjoyed preparing apple muffins on Friday. They received several thumbs up!

Apple Muffins

We will be making apple muffins this week! WE left some of the ingredients at home last week and were unable to make them. Student anticipation has grown and they are super excited to make this delicious snack!

The Great Pumpkin Patch
The Media Center is hosting the Great Pumpkin Patch again this year! Decorate your pumpkin to look like your favorite book character and send it in to school beginning Monday! Please remember that pumpkins should be decorated-not carved!

Apple Muffins

We are making apple muffins for snack one day next week! In order to do this we will need your support. We are bringing in some of the ingredients, but will need some to be donated, and of course we prefer organic ingredients where possible. Oatland Island Field Trip
The weather was perfect for our trip to Oatland Island on Wednesday! Third year students learned about several different types of weathering. Second year students learned about constellations and the night sky. While first year students took part in lessons about life cycles. Please enjoy the following pictures of our day at Oatland.
