Wednesday Explorations
This week only, we will have exploration classes on Wednesday instead of Thursday. Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for exploration classes on this day. Thank you!

Fun Run This Thursday!
Students will be bussed to and from the park on Thursday. We are scheduled to leave Ellis at 11 and return after 1:30. If you'd like to cheer on the runners, please plan on being at the park then.  


Classroom Observations
It is recommended that all parents come in to observe our environment twice a year. Observations give parents a better understanding of what exactly is happening in the Montessori environment. Please use the link below to schedule a classroom observation.

Homework
We did not send homework on Friday, but it will be sent on Monday. This skill practice can be completed nightly or all at once, whichever is most convenient for your family. In the future, math and language homework will be handed out every Friday and will be collected the following Friday morning.

Yearbooks for Sale!

Erdkinder students are hard at work on this year's yearbook and they are now on sale! Don't forget to order yours! 
Yearbooks can be ordered by going to www.strawbridge.net (Use code: YB108996). Yearbooks are $20 if you order them by February 22 (please help us by ordering before this date so we have a good idea of how many to order!). After that, the price will increase to $25.

Welcome Back!
We hope you had a restful break spent with friends and family. We are looking forward to starting the second semester strong and working hard to meet all our goals for the new year. 






Kroger Gift Cards

$1 Donation Dress Down Friday 
We will have a donation dress down on Friday and students are invited to bring their pajamas to school. We will have a field trip in the morning, so they will need to be in uniform when they arrive to school and change into their PJs when we return.


Fun Run Field Trip Forms
If your child did not return their field trip form last week, please send it in on Monday. Thank you! The Fun Run fundraiser will take place in January! More info to come.

Festival of Light
Please plan to join us for the Festival of Light Tuesday evening! Ms. Jennifer would like to make sure that all students arrive by 5:45 and meet in the front hallway. The performance will begin at 6pm.

Holiday Craft

As we move on from Diwali to Christmas and Yule, we are in need of some supplies for the craft. Please send in any items throughout this week and next as we plan on beginning the craft  next week. Thank you! 

Materials needed:

Cinnamon Sticks (a lot)
Live greenery/evergreen scraps 
Thin Twine
Star Anise
Artificial Red Berries 
Tiny Pine Cones 
Small jingle bells(gold or silver)

Parent Education- Nutrition and Healthy Food Choices
Looking for a way to get your child to eat and enjoy healthy foods? We are here to help! Please join us in the garden on Tuesday, November 19, at 3:30pm, for a wonderful presentation about nutrition for your whole family.  

MAP Testing 
Our students are scheduled to take the math MAP test this Wednesday, November 20 and the reading MAP test on Wednesday, December 4.

Donation Dress Down Friday
The Girls on the Run team is raising money for the Emmaus House soup kitchen. Please donate at least one dollar for this worthy cause!
