Montessori Professional Learning Fundraiser
You can use this link to donate!

As credentialed Montessori educators, we must complete 50 hours of professional development every five years to maintain our certification.

This year, several of us will attend:
• The American Montessori Society (AMS) Conference in Washington, D.C.
• The Montessori in the Public Sector (MPS) Conference in Milwaukee.

These conferences provide training from leading Montessori experts and opportunities to share best practices that directly benefit our classrooms and students.

The cost just in registration fees for 10 teachers will be close to $8,000. We are asking for half of that amount through this fundraiser to help make attendance possible.

Attending requires funds for registration, travel, lodging, and meals. Each year, teachers organize and run fundraisers to cover these costs. This GoFundMe is one of those efforts.

Your support will:
• Cover a portion of registration and travel costs
• Strengthen Montessori classrooms with new strategies and resources
• Support future professional development (any unused funds will roll over to next year)

By donating, you are directly supporting teachers and investing in students.

Thank you for helping us continue to provide high-quality Montessori education that nurtures curiosity, independence, and a love of learning. Any donation, big or small, makes a difference.

This Week's Song for Fluency
Here is the video link for our fluency song of the week. Below you will find the lyrics.

The Respect Rap
Yo, listen up!  Let me tell you today
respect is the key, it's the kindest way
use your words, be polite, say please and
thank you, that's just right
R-E-S-P-E-C-T
that's how we treat you and me
we listen, we care, we play it cool,
Respect is the Golden Rule
hands up high when you want to speak,
wait your turn, no need to sneak
listen close, don't interrupt,
show you care, that's what's up
R-E-S-P-E-C-T
that's how we treat you and me,
we listen, we care, we play it cool,
Respect is the Golden Rule
Respect is  the Golden Rule
different faces, different names,
we're all unique but just the same
treat each other like a friend, with love and
kindness that won't end
R-E-S-P-E-C-T
that's how we treat you and me,
we listen, we care, we play it cool,
Respect is the Golden Rule
Respect is the Golden Rule
so high five, spread the love
respect is what we're thinking of
at school at home or anywhere
let's show respect everywhere
R-E-S-P-E-C-T
that's how we treat you and me,
we listen, we care, we play it cool,
Respect is the Golden Rule

The Week of September 14th

 Weekly Newsletter

Student-Led Community Meetings

Each week, our students take the lead in guiding meaningful community meetings that foster connection, accountability, and shared responsibility. These gatherings are a space where students initiate conversations around real classroom issues—such as resolving conflicts, caring for materials, and respectfully sharing communal spaces. Together, they brainstorm solutions and reflect on how those solutions are unfolding in practice.

Beyond problem-solving, these meetings are a celebration of unity. Students lead the group in song, recite our Peace Pledge, and even deliver a meteorologist report to keep everyone informed and engaged. We are excited to see how our students rise to the occasion, not just as learners, but as leaders.

Friday Share Day

This week students can share a drawing, poem, or story about caring for our community.
