Fathers and Father Figures,

Field Trip
Although we have dress down for a dollar on Friday, our students will not be able to dress down for our field trip. Students may donate a dollar and change out of uniform when we return to school in the afternoon.


St. Patrick's Day Dance-$1
There will be a dance for Lower Elementary students on Thursday. All proceeds will go towards Relay for Life. 
St. Patrick’s Day items will be sold March 11th – 15th in the MPR from 7:25 – 7:50 and on Friday, March 15th after 11:05.

Homework
Please remember that last week's homework is due Monday and this week's homework is due on Friday.

Field Trip
We have a field trip Monday morning to a local organization which provides food to children in need. Students will be packing lunches for kids in our community who suffer from food insecurity. If your student has not yet turned in the permission slip, please make sure they do so on Monday morning.



Homework
Homework will be sent home Monday. It is due next Monday since there will be no school Friday.

Wednesday- Walk to School Day
Please join us for the 10th annual Georgia Walk to School Day. Ms. Patra will be greeting all walkers on Wednesday!

Thursday-Spring Picture Day
Free dressdown for all students.

Friday-No School
There will be no school Friday due to a teacher work day.

Please remember that the newsletter is posted every Sunday, whether or not you receive an email or text message reminder. The newsletter is our way of communicating important information with families weekly and should be checked every Sunday. Thank you.

Homework 
We were unable to send homework with students on Friday. It will be sent home on Monday instead. If your child is unable to complete homework by this Friday, please just send it in next Monday.

Parent Education

Please join us at Jason's Deli on Tuesday night between 5-10 pm. Mention Ellis when ordering and they will donate 15% of proceeds to Ellis PTA!

January Birthday Celebration

PTA Meeting

Third Grade Homework
If your third grader has access to a computer, they should be encouraged to type up their writing responses. Also, please challenge your child to go back and revise their writing by adding examples from the passages and details from real life experiences. Remind them that those details are what makes their writing interesting and relatable!

Girls on the Run
If your daughter will be participating in GOTR, you should have been asked to join our class on Remind.com. This is how we will be getting information to parents for the remainder of the season. GOTR begins on February 5 and girls are asked to meet in room 27 at dismissal. We are scheduled to meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00-4:30, barring any unforseen cicumstances that may arise.
