Weekly Newsletter
The Week of April 7

Before end-of-the-year testing begins, we want our students to know that they are smart, creative, and caring and that is the true measurement of success. We want them to know that we have seen them grow and we are so proud of everything they have accomplished this year. We have watched them advance through the Montessori curriculum and challenge themselves to do their best. They have worked on inventive projects and inspired each other with their imaginations. We have observed them help and care for each other daily. They have resolved issues responsibly and worked towards peace together. We are honored to be their teachers and are so pleased with the variety of all of their successes this year!

GMAS Testing-3rd Grade Students
This week, our third grade students will be testing in the mornings. It is important that your child is at school on time. If your third grade student is tardy on a testing day, they will need to make-up the test at a later time. It is also important that your third grader is well-rested and fed before testing. If your child eats breakfast at school, please make sure that he/she is here in time for breakfast. The PTA is supplying snacks for third grade students and those will be made available to them before testing.

A Celebration of Science

 April 30, 2019 5:30–7:30
We will be celebrating science at Ellis with a Gallery Science Walk. Science experiments, investigations, inventions, and collections are encouraged and will be shared with friends and family. If your child chooses to participate, they can do one of the following things:
  • write up a description of their work and set it up before the Gallery Walk
  • be a docent of his/her work and explain it to visitors passing by on the Gallery Walk

Our event is planned for April 30, from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. If your child would like to speak about his/her work, they should plan to be there at 5:30 and stay “on duty” for at least an hour. Please let us know if your child is interested and how she/he would like to participate.
