UPCOMING EVENTS
Parent Education-Monday 6 pm
Please Join MESS in welcoming author and educator, John Wolff, to Charles Ellis on October 22 at 6 pm. He will be discussing the ways in which we can prepare our students for life in a mindful way, despite 21st century demands. Childcare for Ellis students and dinner will be provided.
Field Trip
We have a field trip to Skidaway Island State Park scheduled for Friday. We will be learning about life cycles, food chains, and fossils. There will be a hike and picnic lunch. Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather with closed toe shoes and socks. All bug spray and sunscreen should be applied at home. Make sure your child brings a heat tolerant lunch that does not need to be microwaved.
Dress Down Friday for $1
Students MUST WEAR UNIFORMS for our field trip on Friday, but they can dress down when we return to school if they choose to donate a dollar to support hurricane relief.
Reading Logs
Our class will be taking part in the Read-A-Thon during the month of November. More information about this to come. This will be the final week for our 100 Ways to Raise a Reader reading logs, but your child should continue to see how many creative ways in which they can read and write during the day! Some children have read recipes and made delicious food. Others have listened to podcasts, made shopping lists, and read to their siblings and pets! Please feel free to continue to share pictures of all the different ways your child reads!

Classroom Observations
Thank you to the families who have come in to observe our environment. We have enjoyed seeing you and hope that you are loving the Montessori experience as much as we do! It is encouraged that all parents come in to observe our environment twice a year. Observations give parents a better understanding of what exactly is happening in the Montessori environment. If you have not yet done so, please use the link below to schedule a classroom observation.
