The Week of January 21

 Weekly Newsletter

We will send an email this week with the link to our signups for midyear conferences. We will be offering both Zoom and in-person conferences. Please indicate which you would prefer when scheduling a time that works for you.

Cultural Studies
Students are working on completing their state research. This semester our cultural focus will be on the continent of Africa. We will also be studying rocks and minerals, weather and climate, and the water cycle and clouds.

Are you interested in volunteering in the Blue Jays and Cardinal community? We would love to start having family members come in and help students with reading and math skills.  All volunteers need to go through the VISTA approval program to be able to come in and spend time with students.  This program is much easier to navigate than it was in the past.  Please let us know if you have time and would like to volunteer with small groups or individual children.  Teachers will prepare any necessary materials.

Donation Dress Down This Friday!

This month, we will be supporting our own Ms. Jess (Lower El teacher) during her health journey and all proceeds will be donated to a local non-profit organization called Keepers of the Flame Foundation, whose mission it is "To shine light into the darkness, empowering breast cancer patients to weather breast cancer both physically and emotionally."

🎗️ We encourage everyone to WEAR SOMETHING PINK! 🎗️
