MAP Testing

We will be conducting end of year MAP testing in the next two weeks. Our community is scheduled to test this Wednesday, 2/26 and next Tuesday, 3/4. We want your child to do their best on this assessment, so please make sure that they are going outside to play during the day, resting at night, and eating a good breakfast. Thank you!

PTA Culture Fest
Please plan to join us at the PTA Culture Fest this Thursday in the Ellis MPR. Enjoy celebrating our varying cultures with song, dance, and food!

Donation Dress Up

To celebrate Montessori Education Week, students are invited to dress up as their favorite Montessori material on Friday! $1 donations will be collected for American Montessori Society Peace Fund.

Science Fair
Our class Science Fair will be held this Friday, February 21, 2019, 9am-11am in rooms 27 and 29. The children have been conducting experiments and working hard to organize their results. Families are invited to attend! Please be sure that all family members are on your child’s list and that they bring government issued identification. We suggest that you come in a little before 9am to ensure that everyone gets through checkin in a timely manner. Students will stand at their projects and present their work. We would like for families to move about the space and view the other projects as well.

Yearbooks for Sale!

Erdkinder students are hard at work on this year's yearbook and they are now on sale! Don't forget to order yours! 
Yearbooks can be ordered by going to www.strawbridge.net (Use code: YB108996). Yearbooks are $20 if you order them by February 22 (please help us by ordering before this date so we have a good idea of how many to order!). After that, the price will increase to $25.

Kroger Gift Cards
Please send in a $20 Kroger gift card for snack if your family chose to break it up into 2 payments. Thank you for helping us provide your child with healthy and organic snacks daily!

Carnations For Sale

If you'd like to buy your child a carnation or they'd like to buy their BFF one, see Coach Lesley in the MPR. She'll be there before school selling them! Send Coach Lesley an email with any questions. lesley.corley@sccpss.com

Valentine Exchange Friday
Students will exchange Valentines this Friday, February 14. This year, they will be decorating their own Valentine receptacles at school. Thank you so much for sending in supplies! Please have your child use the class list below to address their Valentines correctly.

If your child comes across anything on their homework that they don't understand, please have them circle it and send it back to school with them, so that we can help them with it. If your child did not turn in homework from last week, please have them turn it in on Monday. Homework is due on Friday mornings!

PTA Family Dance

The dance will be on February 8th from 7-9pm at the Savannah Arts Academy cafeteria. Tickets are on sale now in the media center for a discounted price of $5/each or a family ticket for $20. At the door, tickets will be $7/each or $25 for a family. 

Valentines
Students will exchange Valentines on Friday, February 14. This year, they will be decorating their own Valentine receptacles at school. Below is a class list, so your child can begin working on their cards now, to get a head start!

Classroom Observations
We are pleased that you are taking the time to observe our classroom. Please feel free to take notes. We can answer any questions you may have afterwards during our conference. Our goal is to provide a loving, respectful, and supportive environment in which children will blossom. We ask that you stay seated in the observation chairs and try not to engage the children in conversation. If a child asks who you are or what you’re doing in the class, a polite “Hello, I’m ____.
