The Week of January 12th

 Weekly Newsletter

Welcome back, Blue Jay and Cardinal Families!
We hope you had a wonderful winter break filled with joy and relaxation. We were excited to see all the smiling faces ready to learn and grow on Tuesday. Please remember to bundle up, as the chilly weather is here. We are looking forward to having a fantastic second half of the school year!

PTA Night at Front Porch Improv

Please plan to join us at Front Porch Improv at 5:30 pm on January 18th for a family friendly improv show! You can purchase tickets at this link. All proceeds benefit Charles Ellis.

The Timeline of Life Lesson
Students were introduced to the Timeline of Life last week.
This Second Great Lesson is the child’s introduction to the interconnectedness of all life on Earth through the concept of evolution. This lesson gives a big picture overview of how life and Earth has changed over time. New student research will focus on the Timeline of life.

At Charles Ellis Montessori Academy, we are dedicated to providing a personalized and differentiated learning experience for every student. Our educators diligently tailor instruction to meet the unique needs of all learners, including those identified as gifted. Through individualized learning plans, advanced and enriching activities, and a supportive classroom environment, we ensure that each student is challenged and inspired to reach their fullest potential. We are committed to fostering a love of learning and helping every child thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

This year, instead of traditional teacher gifts, we kindly ask that you consider contributing to our classroom wishlist. This will help us provide the best learning environment and resources for your children. You can find our wishlist here: Classroom Wishlist. We appreciate your support and wish you a joyful holiday season!

Lucia Day
Thank you to Ms. Aiysha and Kabir for sharing the Swedish tradition of celebrating Lucia Day with our community. We learned how the celebration brings light during the dark days of winter and enjoyed delicious saffron buns.
